Unique Opportunities

Our program encourages you to follow your passion and expand your horizons. While it takes effort to arrange special electives during your second and third year, it allows you some ability to shape your learning experience before graduating and practicing on your own. Recently residents have done Global Health electives in Malawi, Peru and Guam. In times prevcovid, residents have gone to Guatemala, Ghana and Nigeria. It takes time to put together new electives so we need at least 6 months and ideally 12 months notice of intent to ensure all requirements get met to ensure a successful educational Global Health elective.
