Why Providence Oregon Family Medicine Residency?
At Providence Oregon Family Medicine Residency, we promote lifelong learning of the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to provide high-quality care, especially to those most in need. Our mission is to train family physicians to be the cornerstone of patient-centered, socially responsible, community-oriented medical care.
As physicians of the Providence Oregon Family Medicine Residency Program, we treat common illnesses uncommonly well. We honor our patients’ unique needs and cultures. We also strive to balance our professional and personal lives and remain resilient.
We welcome all people. We are interested in all individuals regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation and gender. Portland is a very welcoming city, and our program is too!
The Portland Metro area, including Milwaukie, is the perfect place to train for community-based, full-spectrum family medicine. It’s close enough to Portland for you to train with front-line specialists in our larger hospitals. But then you can come home to provide primary care for our underserved and clinically diverse communities.
